A/B Testing & Experimentation
A/B testing consultant for B2C teams.
Running another test is easy to propose. Knowing which question deserves an experiment — and what to do with the result — takes more thought.

The challenge
More tests don't automatically mean better decisions.
An A/B test is useful when it resolves a meaningful question. Not when it simply adds another variation to the backlog.
- 01 · Focus
Plenty of ideas. No clear priority.
What looks easy to change isn't always what matters most to conversion or business value.
- 02 · Evidence
A result without a reliable answer.
A movement in a metric isn't enough on its own. The test needs a clear question and a way to evaluate the result.
- 03 · Learning
Experiments that don't inform what's next.
Whether a variant wins or loses, the useful output is a better decision.
Before the experiment
Four questions worth answering first.
These questions help separate a testable business decision from another idea for the backlog.
What are we trying to change?
A defined conversion or business outcome — not just a metric that happens to move.
Why might this change work?
A hypothesis connected to actual behavior, a UX problem or a decision users need to make.
Can the test answer the question?
Enough traffic, usable tracking and a meaningful comparison. Sample size and expected effect matter more than a fixed testing calendar.
What will we do with the result?
A clear way to interpret the outcome and decide what is worth doing or investigating next.
Where I fit
Experimentation that connects data, UX and business value.
I work with your existing analytics, design and engineering setup. Significant's engagements cover a defined funnel problem, a broader conversion goal, or ongoing opportunity discovery and experimentation guidance.
The goal is not a larger test count. It's turning conversion questions into experiments worth running — and results worth acting on.

CRO finds the opportunity. A/B testing helps validate the change.
Conversion rate optimization looks at the wider journey: where users struggle, what matters to the business and what could improve. A/B testing compares alternatives to help determine whether a specific change actually made a difference.
Not every improvement needs a test, and not every test produces a clear answer. The value is in choosing the right question and interpreting the evidence carefully.

A/B testing consulting, explained.
What does an A/B testing consultant help with?
Understanding which conversion questions are worth testing, connecting hypotheses to business value, and making sense of results. At Significant, this sits within existing CRO and experimentation engagements, working with your analytics, design and engineering setup.
How is A/B testing different from CRO?
CRO is the broader work of understanding and improving conversion. A/B testing is a way to compare a specific change against an alternative and evaluate its effect. They complement each other; they aren't separate promises of uplift.
How much traffic do we need to run a meaningful A/B test?
There is no universal number. It depends on the baseline conversion rate, traffic allocation, the smallest effect worth detecting and how long a test can reasonably run. Significant works best when there is enough volume for meaningful experiments.
Do you replace our experimentation or engineering team?
I work with your existing analytics, design and engineering setup. The published packages describe ready-to-run experiments, results analysis, opportunity discovery and ongoing experimentation guidance.
What does an engagement cost?
The existing Significant packages are Focused Conversion Sprint (€1,900 excl. VAT), Conversion Opportunity (€4,900 excl. VAT), and Experimentation Partner (from €5,500/month excl. VAT, with a 3-month initial engagement). The detailed scope is listed above.
I've spent my career working on high-scale B2C funnels, conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing and experimentation.
